Deposits and Balances

Deposits and balance payments should preferably be paid by our online payment system at www.skirfarebarn.com  using credit or debit card. Bank transfers can be accepted, please ask for details.

Where a bank transfer is not available  cheques are accepted and should be made payable to:- Skirfare Barn Ltd, and posted to C/O Chestnut Cottage, Kettlewell, BD23 5RL

We will promptly confirm your booking by reply email. All deposits are non-refundable and the final balance and tidy-up bond payment must be received  6 weeks prior to your visit. This balance payment is also non-refundable, unless we are at fault. You should consider you own insurance to cover any eventuality.

The Boring Fine Print

Any and all breakages/damage to our property and its contents other than wear and tear will be charged for, initially taken from your security bond. Any amounts greater  this will be taken directly from your original payment method. The owners reserve  the right to determine the value  of any breakages/damage  caused by the Hirer, and also to levy excess charge at the rate of £35 per hour, or part thereof, if the property is not vacated  in accordance with the following  times :-

The Barn and car-park should be fully vacated by 10.30am (except by prior arrangement)

Central Heating & hot water included in your hire fees are set to ensure the barn is warm and comfortable  in accordance with government  guidelines throughout the periods when you are likely to be present and active in the barn according to the following  schedule :-

Evening - 3.30pm till 11.30pm

Mornings - 6.30am till 10.15am

These times will vary slightly between winter and summer.

All arrival times are STRICTLY 4.00pm unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Hire of the barn is entirely at your own risk to you and your group members.

We do not accept any responsibility for injuries to guests, or any loss or damage to vehicles or personal property whilst you are on the premises.

All guests are responsible for their own actions and consequences whilst on the premises without exception.

The Barn has a CCTV recording system installed externally and internal communal areas only for safety and insurance reasons.

You are required to bring your own bedding appropriate to the time of year. Sheets and pillows are provided as part of your booking.

We do not accept Party/Stag or Hen groups without written agreement in advance or young persons groups under 25 yrs without adult supervision. 

We reserve the right to increase the bond prior to arrival for such groups.

Maximum number of persons present on the premises at any time must be no more than 20, this includes any visiting guests.

No pets are allowed without prior agreement and if are found to be on-site without permission will be charged £35 per animal per stay deducted from your bond.

The barn is :- STRICTLY NO SMOKING without exception and NO CANDLES allowed inside the barn at any time, this is a STRICT condition of our insurance.

It is a Condition of Hire that you leave the barn clean and tidy in accordance with the Tidy-up agreement details provided  with your booking.
